Division of Cancer Prevention (DCP)

A program of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Health Statistics that is dedicated to improving the quantity and quality of health data on minority populations
Office of Minority Health (OMH)
OMH advises the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) on health policy issues affecting the health status and access to care among minority populations; coordinates programs to help DHHS implement minority initiatives; works with DHHS operating divisions (OPDIVs) and other Federal departments to improve the collection and analysis of data on the health of racial and ethnic minority populations; and organizes demonstration projects through joint agreements with DHHS OPDIVs, funds grants for health projects conducted by minority faith- and community-based organizations and coalitions, and funds cooperative agreements with major national minority organizations.
