Abstract | |||
This study collected specimens from newly diagnosed ESCC and GCA cases who came to Yaocun Commune Hospital in Linxian, China. Using rigorous sterile techniques, we will test the fresh frozen tumor tissues for the presence of HPV DNA. Specimens from HPV DNA positive cases will be further tested for HPV expression, HPV integration, the presence of HPV DNA in non-tumor tissue, and the presence of antibodies against HPV-16 and HPV-18, E6 and E7 proteins in serum. Those analyses will give us a better understanding of the activity of HPV in ESCC and GCA. |
