Abstract | |||
SDLINK + Case-control studies and cohorts of patients selected from the Swedish and Danish hospital inpatient registry data were linked to the Swedish and Danish cancer registries (respectively). The case-control and cohort studies were mutually agreed upon by NCI and Swedish and Danish collaborators (several contracts were held during the 1990+s). The exposure variables are from the hospital inpatient registries (diagnoses and surgical procedures). Analyses are done by Standardized Incidence/Mortality Ratios (SIR and SMR) and logistic regression. Several cancers are still under study, for example bladder cancer in patients with benign prostate hypertrophy (BPH) and liver cancer in a Danish case-control study. |
