Abstract | |||
In our recently-completed work, i.e., the ALTS trial and the main SUCCEED study, we realized that extremely small CIN3 lesions are missed by a diagnostic strategy of colposcopically-directed biopsy of the worst-appearing lesion. We have documented that more taking more biopsies greatly increases diagnostic sensitivity for finding small CIN3 but do not know how many biopsies are optimal. This modification of the SUCCEED protocol will apply a rigorous biopsy strategy to optimize biopsy placement. |
