Abstract | |||
This study will evaluate incidence rates of breast cancer and colorectal cancer among women ages 45 years and older enrolled in two large pre-paid U.S. health plans. Through linkage of computerized data on dispensed menopausal hormone therapy prescriptions, screening examinations, and incident cancer endpoints, including clinical characteristics, the study will generate incidence rates and trends according to specific combinations of menopausal hormone therapy and screening behavior. Understanding recent trends should help to reveal potential explanations for recently observed declines in female breast cancer incidence. |
