Abstract | |||
Studies carried out under this CAS number include the development of novel techniques for the identification of new virus cancer associations and new oncogenic viruses and the implementation of such techniques. Examples are the development of degenerate PCR assays for detection of novel herpesviruses and retroviruses and the development of a viral microarray which can detect DNA or RNA from over 600 mammalian and avian viruses. Diseases studied include sporadic retinoblastoma, Hodgkinýs and Non-Hodgkinýs Lymphoma and testicular cancer. |
