Abstract | |||
PanScan is a genome wide analysis of 1,600 incident pancreatic cancer cases and 1,600 controls from 12 cohort studies and 2,400 cases and 2,400 controls from 8 case control studies. The study uses a tag SNP approach to characterize approximately 90% of the genome. The genotype results and executive summaries of individual SNP analyses will be made publicly available through a controlled-access website within several months of completion and assessment of quality control analyses. Upon agreeing to certain consent provisions and subject to applicable IRB requirements and laws and regulations governing privacy and the protection of human subjects, investigators and institutions will be able to register for access to the genotype data and a small number of demographic covariates. |
