This study is an umbrella for all the Uganda based studies being conducted in VEB. sub-studies include: 1. Uganda AIDS Cancer Match Study: A computer AIDS-Cancer registry linkage study in Uganda. The study will identify cancers occuring in excess in people with AIDS in Uganda. It is the first study of its type to be conducted in sub-Saharan Africa. 2. A study of patterns of Kaposi's sarcoma herpesvirus gene expression and clonaility of KS in Uganda 3. Uganda KSHV transmission study of children with sickle cell disease |
