The MHC liver cancer study is a nested case-control study of liver cancer within Kaiser Permanente's Multiphasic Health Check-up Cohort. Individivuals were enrolled in the 240,000 person MHC between 1965 and 1992l. We have identified all liver cancer that have developed in the cjohort and will be examined their questionnaire data and medical records for liver cancer risk factors. We will also analyze their stored sera for hepatitis B and C viral markers, hormones, inflammatory markers, aflatoxin B1 and organochlorine compound levels. |
